Job Description

A leader in steel fabrication, processing, and erection – backed by state-of-the-art facilities and personal service – Perna Group is a family-owned company that has grown to become a leader in the steel industry, while maintaining the same work and service ethos. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for full-time Boilermakers and Welders for our Bibra Lake workshop. As a Boilermaker at Perna Group, your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring all fabrication and welding activities are carried out to a high standard, and all measures are taken to produce a high-quality product.
• Reading drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine work methods and the sequence of activities.
• Being accurate, methodical, and practical when welding, fabricating, and installing steel structures.
• Following all safety procedures, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring welding equipment is well-maintained.

Key criteria for success in this role:

• Trade qualifications related to the role are advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication is highly regarded.
• A strong ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Good knowledge of modern fabrication techniques.
• A strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work in a team environment and perform well under pressure.

Salary: $80k to $90k per annum We are looking forward to having you on board!
