About the role

Armadale Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential support within our dental practice, ensuring patients receive high-quality care in a welcoming and professional environment. Based in Armadale, WA 6112, you will play a vital role in our clinical operations, working closely with our dental practitioners to deliver exceptional patient experiences and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and care.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist dental practitioners during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument passing

2. Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

3. Maintain patient records and update clinical documentation accurately and promptly

4. Welcome patients to the practice and ensure they feel comfortable and informed about their treatment

5. Manage patient flow and scheduling to ensure efficient clinic operations

6. Provide oral health education and post-treatment care instructions to patients

7. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic treatment environment at all times

8. Assist with sterilisation of equipment and adherence to infection prevention and control standards

9. Support the dental team in administrative tasks such as appointment booking and patient communication

What we're looking for

1. A recognised Dental Nursing qualification or equivalent registration with the Dental Board of Australia

2. Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse in a clinical setting

3. Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to put patients at ease

5. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records

6. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks

7. Professional approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support clinical staff

9. Current First Aid certification is highly desirable
