About the Role
DRD Group is seeking an Accounts Payroll Officer to join our internal team. This role offers a great balance between end-to-end payroll and accounts support, ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a supportive and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for 150+ employees accurately and on time
• Act as the first point of escalation for payroll queries and issues
• Ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and relevant legislation
• Manage onboarding and offboarding documentation and compliance processes
• Maintain payroll records and assist with internal and external audits
• Support Accounts Payable and Receivable functions including invoicing and reconciliations
• Assist with payment runs and outstanding balance management
• Identify and contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies

Mandatory Requirements

• 1–2+ years’ experience in payroll processing
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Intermediate Excel skills

Preferred

• Qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Experience with JobAdder, Astute, or Xero
• Experience within recruitment, labour hire, or similar industries
